Sobercoin is not intended for exchange of other coins or to purchase goods/services.  The source is open and can be found at sobercoinproject.com/mining/ so if others would like Sobercoin on an exchange then this should be pursued by them.

I was thinking you should use the coins that are collected (via donation) for bounties!

These bounties should be towards the cause (I.e people could make anti-drug resource sites? maybe educational videos?)

Thank you again for your interest!  SoberCoin Project is looking into adding to an exchange/s.  It is evident that in order to keep project alive miners will need incentive in order to help drive the 100USD donations to Teen Challenge International for every 10,000 Sobercoins mined.

Why not get the coin on an exchange and do what needs to be done to keep it worth mining. If you add a way so that "x" percentage of all coins mined are allotted to the foundation then you could use those coins as a direct funding source for the cause you are championing.

You would need to have full disclosure on how the coins are handled but it would provide definite incentive for you as a dev to make the coin worth something which in turn creates a reason for the miners to mine it.

Hi thank you for the reply and sharing the teen challenge link.  Can you please explain why SoberCoin Project is fishy?  I would like to address your comment in a respectful way, so that no one is mislead in anyway by thinking SoberCoin Project is some type of scam. 

Funds donated go through Crowdrise Fundraising Campaign.  Crowdrise is a respectable organization that Teen Challenge International has partnered with alobg with many other organization to help build fundraising campaigns.

Maybe you too can start your own fundraising campaign and help support a charity that you have a heart for.  You do not need to be affiliate with a charity to help inspire other people to support their cause.
