Guys, if someone asks me, where is the best place for a newbie to learn more about bitcoin? Bitcointalk not included. Trolls might discourage the newbie.

If you are just looking for a place where you can learn more about bitcoin but not be active in discussion like you would be here then Wikipedia and YouTube are two great places to be able to learn more and view videos. Always remember Google is your friend and I am sure there will always be information to find when searching Smiley

Hello,
You can try with:

First, read http://www.coindesk.com/ and then read https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Main_Page, and lastly read the bitcoin whitepaper.
Mark down all the parts that you don't fully understand and ask your questions in bitcointalk after that. Smiley

Probably reddit is better than bitcointalk because there are less trolls on it.

There is enough information now for free to spend 10 years learning about BTC on the internet. Start by understanding the whitepaper if you want to get technical.

You will learn a lot about Bitcoin by using Google. But to learn about common scams/frauds so you do not repeat the same faith as other unfortunate users then you should go through few threads on here!

here is one thread to get you started: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=33835.0

If it is for a complete newbie, it may be better to start with non-technical introductions like https://multibit.org/faq.html and http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-explained-five-year-old/ and http://www.coindesk.com/information/

Sometimes chatting on various exchanges can be a descent place to learn more. You get your fair share of trolls, but sometimes you can actually get valuable info.

Bitcointalk is the best place for learning about BTC. You can also read some article on Coindesk.com. Video tutorials are really useful. So you can watch some videos on youtube.
