There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

UPDATE: The first issue of the magazine is starting to trickle in to all of our subscribers! Such a glorious day!  I hope all the negative detractors can swallow their pride and be constructive enough to help us move on and make each month's issue better and better by providing us with valuable feedback.

Thanks for the support everyone!

I was a positive detractor.

I'm now in a quagmire. I see that the magazine is out, but have yet to visit the main thread. If I do so, then I'll already know what to expect when my issue arrives. I'll already know what the 100 64 page Bitcoin Magazine consist of. Worse yet, If I don't read the thread, and my issue comes Monday and I want to relay my thoughts on said thread, I would first have to read the entire thread to make sure my thoughts weren't already expressed. This is the worse day of my life. I'm going to kill myself. Expect a new thread.

~Bruno~

I'm closing this thread. Thanks, all, for joining in on the conversation. That said, Matthew still looks like Lurch.
