It is 16" expanded, friction lock, made with steel, a rubber handle and fabric holster. I own one of these and one good whack with this will change someone's mind FAST.  The end cap even unscrews to allow you to adjust how easily it deploys. The only criticism I have of it AT ALL is it is hard to fold back up so you often have to resort to tapping it on some pavement to get it to refold, but this can be avoided by not whipping it out like a maniac. On the plus side if you whip it out hard it will also work with stabbing motion attacks. Folded it is a very nice manageable size as well.
