The tweet is good to see, but the responses are disappointing. Every single one of them is from somebody involved in Bitcoin, which makes this community look even more like an echo chamber. It would be nice to see some curiosity and interest from the average person.

This is HUGE!
For those who don't know, CNN is a TV channel viewed by thousands of people. Sometimes they also conduct interviews and edit footage.

Wow! Never heard of them.

Good propaganda. big media outlets are paying more attention on the bitcoin. More related positive news will go to their reports. More people have chance to know bitcoin.

CNN has been losing ground in the news world for years now so my guess is this is a desperate attempt to snag viewers out of bitcoinland and not much else. However, if doing so forces them to roll the BTC ticker in the faces of what's left of their audience then so be it. Grin

great, a price ticker  Cheesy ... pretty late after Bloomberg and a bunch of smaller companies already added that.

but okay, lets be fair: its nice  Smiley

Good to see we are passed the phase of being ignored and laughed at.  I've been seeing the acceptance of Bitcoin in the media lately and it's becoming the norm more and more, which is good.  No more laughing every time they user the word Bitcoin.  Instead a real discussion is taking place and for the old school media outlets this is a big step in the right direction.

I agree people are interested and have been interested in Bitcoin.  Sense it isn't going anywhere it's likely that people will start asking more questions and making plans to invest.  The better the media is at their job the better for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin has been mentioned by CNN in their articles for years. I believe they were one of the first MSM to report on bitcoin. It is just that it did not really catch on until last fall

I am not sure about this. I do think that bitcoin is becoming more of a household name ever since last november's bubble and the arrest of Ross. I also think that bitcoin will be somewhat of a niche "product" for many years

"818k followers", but 131 retweets. The retweets is a much better metric of interest, and 131 retweets is absolutely fuck all.
