Looking to buy Dwolla for BTC. Anyone?
|
If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it. There was never anything there in the first place.

I am planning to transfer a 4-digit amount into Dwolla, and it should arrive in my account early next week. I would like to pre-arrange a trade. Please let me know if you are interested. I am looking for someone with a strong bitcoin-otc ratings, or who is otherwise "highly trustworthy." I have a decent bitcoin-otc track record, and can supplement that by revealing my actual identity (I am an academic). I would consider taking mtgoxusd 1-for-1 but would prefer to just get bitcoins at a rate slightly closer to bitfloor/campbx (as of the time we actually do the transfer, of course) depending on whether there is enough interest.

Why use Dwolla then? Skip the middle man. If you have funds in your bank account you can get coins today.
PM sent.
Good point. With the current price-volume momentum behind Bitcoin at the moment, the price may be at $8 by early next week.

Holy crap, why wasn't I aware of this thread earlier? I've been doing the loooooong mtgox to dwolla shuffle for weeks now . Looks like I'll need to frequent this thread every month or so until mtgox and dwolla fix their shit. Just a 5ghash miner here selling coins. I'm surprised how clean this thread is. No mention of potential scams or shifty users, I'm amazed. I'll keep an eye on this thread when I need to dump some BTC/MTGOX USD for some cold hard dwollas.

Direct ACH from a business account and many bank to bank transfers such as Chase Quick Pay, ING p2p and Popmoney are fee. I'd gladly use those methods with trusted members. Yes, its reversible, but so is Dwolla.
Dollars, BTC, Dwolla, Paypal, bank transfer. Regardless of the method, (and until we can use BTC as freely as we use cash) trust will be essential.

Well after several months Gox just asked for me to get verified. So I'm looking to trade $700 Gox USD or bitcoins for Dwolla USD.

Did the MtGOX->BankWire transfer times improve yet? Nope. Neither did the Dwolla. My wire is still "confirmed" not "processed" after 14 days and my Dwolla is similar after 12 days.
