This site is currently in beta so please help me test it. Al sorts of shows are allowed as long as it is legal. So, if you like, you can also show off your clarinet playing skills

That "no signup" thing is going to be the first thing you change I bet. The first time CP is broadcast there you're going to be sweating bullets.

I have nothing to do with the content everything is strictly peer to peer. The server is only used so the broadcasters and watchers can find each other (like a tracker for torrents). I doubt I can be held responsible for that. However if too much content gets posted that I don't want I will take the site down and regulate it by adding authentication. I really hate for that to happen as I hate regulation.

Also: the site is currently hosted on a free host until I am sure there is sufficient demand. If the free host kicks me off, PM me and I'll move the site ASAP.

At the moment I am lowering the video quality (I only tested it on a LAN) and fixing a small bug in the chat. Will post when done.

Okay the chat problem is resolved and the quality is set much lower. I have set it to 30KB video quality so let's see if it goes better like this. I can always try to put it back up higher later.

To try the new version press control+F5 (so the browser really refreshes and doesn't use the cashed version). You know you have the newest version if you see V0.2 in the title bar after Cam 4 BTC!

Mine crashed the browser when I did get in it was pretty slow the video....

Could you give me more info on the crash? Like what were your exact actions, what browser what Operating system?

Also, after streaming for 1.5-2h my laptop is starting to get really hot and having trouble running so the delay (when you could connect) could be that as well. It is old and I only use it for the test stream because it's the only machine I have with a webcam. I have been in the stream with up to 9 users and they all reported the video was working fine.

BTW if you want to test you can also open the site in two separate browser tabs. Broadcast on the first and watch on the other.

I fixed the crash bug. I used a library which was causing memory referencing errors. So I have removed this library a rewrote everything from scratch (took me a while so this better be the cause of everyone’s crashes )
To try the new version go to http://cam4btc.com and check if it says v0.3 in the header after “Cam 4 BTC!”. If it doesn’t, press control+f5 (to bypass the cash of your browser and cause an actual proper refresh).
Other fixes I did:

•   I now show join and leaves from channels in the chat region
•   I now show the number of viewers on the channel for the viewers as well
•   The list of channels will not get out of sync anymore

Please test it and report if there are any more crashes, glitches or bugs. Of course I appreciate feedback as well.

Released version 0.4 (control+F5 to reload).

I now release audio streams properly when switching channels (so you don't hear the audio of both channels through each other anymore).

I also added an http://bitcoinadvertisers.com text only add and made an option to hide it (click hide ad and it's gone). I'd appreciate feedback if this is too distracting of the main content. I struggled with the decision of adding them or not but went with this compromise (text only hideable adds) because it could help towards paying for an actual host. Please feel free to argue against me regarding this decision.

I'm planning on adding loads more (think about showing the donations being made in the blockchain live) but need more time and feedback so please start using the site

There are a million different ways to use this kind of service, with Bitcoin, in a non-sexual way. We just need to put our thinking caps on.
