no alt was able to detach itself from btc so they're all linked to its price. Until we get 2-3 independant coins. When btc will drop, alts will too but it doesn't mean that when btc rise, alts will too.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

The fact that the Alt's aren't tanking is very telling of the faith people have in Bitcoin.  If Bitcoin was in trouble people would likely sell their alts minus a few maybe.  The fact that they are holding is very telling about the feelings of the crypto community as a whole from my point of view.

This is kind of what I was thinking..   Everytime since DEC if BTC drops 5% the alts tank 10-100%..  until now.  It's just a very interesting change in trend.

I was referring more to the alts +2 million networth cap..  I don't really care what an alt coin with a market cap of $100 is doing.

Just saying...  the alts are on the rise while BTC is down slightly this is very unusual.

Meh, these things go in cycles. Remember October/November 2013? Alts tanked massively across the board as bitcoin bubbled. Then they bottomed and BOOM -- they outperformed BTC like a boss. If BTC finds bottom and starts to rally, that is maybe when we see alts plummet.

LTC and BTC influence each other and are known to both go their own ways.
Thats why I don't see LTC as an alt. It's the father of scrypt coins Smiley

Bitcoin is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get !!
