where are you seeing 16 BTC?? U rly dont see where is 16 BTC ? Uhh...That's the sell side, not something propping up DGC's value. [EDIT] And for further clarification, the right most column shows how much BTC it will take to bring the DGC/BTC value up to 0.00067665.

I wrote about the wall at 16 BTC and blocking downgrading. See what is indicated in : yellow

Does a few thousand coins offered at an astronomical price indicate some sort of market manipulation? TT

I wrote about the wall at 16 BTC and blocking downgrading. See what is indicated in : yellow Reading from left to right in the yellow box Column 1: DGC/BTC price (well above what DGC/BTC value currently is) Column 2: Amount of DGC in the order Column 3: Amount of BTC required to fulfill the order Column 4: Summation of the orders listed Example: top row in the yellow box - sell order of 4545 DGC, at 0.00008888 DGC/BTC (0.4BTC). The thing you highlighted in a yellow box? It's a sell wall, not a buy wall. It's not blocking the DGC price from dropping. Last I checked, DGC/BTC was around 0.00003 on Bittrex.

Reducing coins minted by 66% Will this be done? if so, when? That's what's planned, I believe the exact setup is three algos with 5 coins each, with a block target of 40 seconds, whereas it's 15 coins every 40 seconds at the moment. There is no ETA (or more accurately block #) for the fork yet, although since this announcement is made there's plenty of heads up for interested miners to get in on the current rewards. Personally, I would like to see the fork kick in about 2 months after the source is released.

Does any one algo have a benefit over another for miners? If one algo has a much lower hashrate than another wouldn't it be easier to get more coins on that algo if you have a significant amount of hashrate for that particular algo?

sort of true. we'll be implementing limitations on the number of consecutive blocks that can be mined in any current timespan. e.g. if 5 scrypt blocks are mined together then one of sha or x11 will have to be mined first before another scrypt can be mined etc. also the difficulties of each algorithm are tuned to the amount of hashrate that algorithm has on the network. So yes you're partially right but we're setting it so its not completely rapeable
