Yah, if we merge-mine them with BTC/LTC that'd solidify the network on a global level.

Don't create one coin after a other one and leave all coins in to death.. buylatercoin? if that's something var53 made, this is the first time I've seen him around Digitalcoin. DGC was made by a developer named Baritus. DGC is far from dead.

Hi Everyone - I like that some new life is being blown in to this classic coin! If anyone needs a stable place to mine I have included Digitalcoin on our mining pool at http://mine.revivalco.in/. You can either mine directly to DGC or use a profit switcher. The system is stable, running a NOMP backend with some basic customizations. Our team also has done a handful of coin revivals ( http://www.revivalco.in) and I can't speak for everyone on the team, but I would glad to help with anything. Just shoot me a PM.

FYI...
The Digitalcoin blockchain has hit an important milestone. The Digitalcoin blockchain now consists of over 1,000,000 blocks.
Block 1,000,000 was found on 2014-10-17 at 16:14:21 UTC extracted by Multipool.us.
Would have been nice had the Digitalcoin Foundation pool, poolerrangers.com found the block, and got close, finding block 999,999.
Congratulations to Digitalcoin!
TT

Same here. Always felt Digitalcoin was one of the best alts available. By the way, the mining pool run by the Digitalcoin Foundation has just been migrated to http://mining.wtf where mining is supported for DGC, ARG, and SRC. It's a pretty nice pool and could use more miners. TT

I like them hashrates on x11. We need more hashrate on the testnet. BCX, where are you? We need you to break DGC V3 testnet. -tb-

DGC V3 Mac OS wallet testing is going ok on Mavericks. It synced on the separate network and we tested a couple of transactions.

What renaissance are you speaking of? Not much going on here except stakeholders cheering up and getting excited about an upcoming 2/3 reduction of coins.
Congrats to have cast in concrete that DGC will now be just another massively pre-mined scamcoin just to save early miner's profits.
If you are willing to save the coin why not leave everyone who's just starting to mine with the same chance as you had? Anything is else is very shady, given that the overall amount was cut significantly once before in the last year. Why would anyone still mine DGC for a fraction of the coins from now on when there are 17 million coins out already?
I did say this when I held a large amount of DGC before and I still say so today. It's a shame, really.

DGC is at one of it's lowest price points right now. It's been 'a 1 cent or less coin' for many months now. There are two choices 1 - Allow the coin to die due to there being no demand for the number of coins minted, there has been an oversupply for a long time 2 - Change it and make some new useful systems which work with it I guess you would rather it dies out altogether as that's exactly what would happen if it's left the way it is. Others have different feelings and are actively working to make it useful in new and interesting ways.
