Someone put a load of Scrypt hash on the coin so the fork is going to happen a lot sooner than 2 weeks.
It will be more like 2 days

***** DIGITALCOIN V3 HAS NOW BEEN RELEASED ****** This release requires a hard fork as we've changed from being a single algorithm Scrypt coin into a multiple algorithm coin. From block number 1028000 which is when the hard fork will happen DigitalCoin will be mined with Scrypt alongside the two new algorithms which are SHA and X11 It was expected that the fork would take place at some point on or around the middle of December. However this will not now be the case because someone started mining with a huge amount of Scrypt hash power. So this fork will now happen very quickly. Please update your DGC clients and daemons as soon as you can. The three algorithms will work alongside each other and the difficulties will be adjusted so that there should be 1 block found every 40 seconds on average regardless of which algorithm it's mined with. The block reward will change to 5 DGC per block from block 1028000, the fork block. The DGC V3 clients can be downloaded from here : https://github.com/DGCFoundation/DGCV3.0/releasesThe DGC V3 source code can be downloaded here: https://github.com/DGCFoundation/DGCV3.0https://forum.digitalcoin.co/threads/1620-Digitalcoin-V3-released***** DIGITALCOIN V3 HAS NOW BEEN RELEASED ******

Updated my clients and seems ok.. I haven't tried IRC but market data works fine. Is the wallet block explorer down? Decode doesn't return any info. Nice job. It was expected that the fork would take place at some point on or around the middle of December.
However this will not now be the case because someone started mining with a huge amount of Scrypt hash power.
Miners trying to get as much as possible before the fork, maybe.

You input the block number, click jump to block. copy the transaction id you're looking for. enter it in the box on the left of the decode transaction box and then click decode Ahmed

They have been notified, some are compiling the wallet/syncing as I write this (to the best of my knowledge).
I have updated the pool list to include a few pools that will have DGC available for mining.

Adding "a load of Scrypt hash" should not dramatically change the amount of time it takes get to the fork unless something is wrong with the difficulty algorithm.

Adding "a load of Scrypt hash" should not dramatically change the amount of time it takes get to the fork unless something is wrong with the difficulty algorithm. Going from 1GH to 14 GH and then back again is a problem and the changes which are being made in V3 will address this issue. From what I've heard the difficulty goes low then someone puts a massive amount of hash on the coin which gets lots of blocks and increases the difficulty. Then they stop and leave everyone else mining in a state of disarray. I know a lot of you guys work with coins which have been around for a few weeks or even months but please remember that when DGC launched about a year and a half ago and indeed when it was last forked about a year ago there was no such thing as a Scrypt ASIC. Scrypt ASICS enable this kind of thing and we are dealing with it with our V3 changes.

Guys were are the SHA-256 pools plz?
|
I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Cryptopools and Mining.wtf will both have SHA256 pools when the fork happens.
