Hi, I have looked around to try find a way to buy/sell BTC from South Africa with almost no luck. I could possibly buy with paypal when a user on these forums is selling and doesn't mind paypal but are the no sites what still allow it or a credit card purchase(that is safe to use)? I have found no way to sell my BTC so that I end with it in my bank as ZAR. An alternative I have seen is a temp visa card that they transfer the $ value into - are these relatively safe and can these cards be used internationally? Any help/advice would be appreciated Thanks, sjs1985

I believe Crypto X Change ( cryptoxchange.com) accepts ZAR and can send ZAR out to your bank as well. Give them a try!

Ya, using a PayPal account or credit card for buying bitcoins is pretty much a non-starter no matter which country you are from. Cashing out (selling bitcoins) to PayPal is easier. - http://www.spendbitcoins.com (just pay the normal fees that the merchant incurs .. 2.9% + $0.30) - http://www.BitcoinNordic.com (10% fee) For larger amounts, using an exchange and withdrawing to a bank is probably the least expensive. For example: - http://cryptoxchange.com/blog/7/new-improvements-at-crypto-x-change-deposit-withdraw-any-currency-now-for-5I have found no way to sell my BTC so that I end with it in my bank as ZAR. An alternative I have seen is a temp visa card that they transfer the $ value into - are these relatively safe and can these cards be used internationally?
The cards from OKPay and AurumXChange can be used internationally.

1. Sell your BTC on Crypto X Change in any AUD or USD market ( https://cryptoxchange.com/) 2. Request a withdraw from them in ZAR as receiving currency. ( fees 5 AUD + 0.6%, no international wire transfer cost ) Please note you will need to get verified with them for any amount over 500$. Cheers

Another method just recently made available to cash out bitcoins to ZAR at a bank is to use CA Virtex, which lets you withdraw your funds (CAD) to your Payza (formerly AlertPay) account. From there, withdrawal (as ZAR) to a South African bank is possible. - https://www.payza.com/features/available-currencies - http://www.CAVirtEx.com
