Yes I would also recommend the R9 280x. Try to get one from Gigabyte if you know how to undervolt via BIOS. If not choose one which isnt voltage locked.

dont touch gigabyte 280x's... voltage locked all of them and they have crappy memory elpidha not hynix or samsung.

best ones for mining are asus DCT2 280x's, voltage is not locked and is very overclockable to high standards to achieve much higher hash rates, and MSI 280x's are good as well althou voltage locked. the msi cards use both hynix and samgung memory which are alot better for mineing and gameing.

Do not buy video cards just for mining. If you play game, then it is OK to buy a video card. It will not ROI.

i realy dont understand how people are not getting ROI. i seem to be doing fine, i recently added another 2 7950's a 750ti and 2 1kw PSU's and they have just about payed for themselves, all within the span of 2 months.... you guys must be mineing the wrong things lol.

280x is best for sure

750ti is far better and miner is more optimized

nut you should wait for the new nvidia, they will be better for density, the 970 seems the best

I personally used R9 290's back when I was mining with cards. I'm not sure if things have changed with new software, but I was hitting around 900Kh/s with those back at the beginning of the year.

280x are pretty good but i guess 750 ti's are better in terms of price/consumption/hashrate
