2016, when the BRICs pull the trigger and almost every "1st" world gov steals 50-95% of everyones fiat wealth.

It will be like a nuclear lift off.. until then expect A LOT of pain.

If you are a short term holder.. you should of never bought BTC.

If you are a long term holder just continue buying.
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

you are right.
no paper money has ever survived in history, its a 100% failure rate.

usually when paper currencies failed gold took over, but today when trade is international its not practical to constantly move gold around.

bitcoin solves this problem, and that's why its the opportunity of a lifetime.

the USD has only been completely paper since 1971, was backed by gold before that.
it has lost 99% of its purchasing power since.
now with interest rates at 0 and the fed printing trillions of dollars in QE1-3 it is about to come to an end.

In any case there's work to be done. Wink We've been using Litecoin over in our community since it was worth $0,80. There are also many other crypto's worth their salt. Now, I think linking blockchains is the logical next step.

Conspiracies or not, in the words of Heraclitus, "everything is in flux", and making sure the volatile cryptosphere becomes a more coherent whole looks to be a priority on my list.

I agree with this sentiment.

Everyone wants off the petrodollar

US will do whatever they can to maintain the status quo but economic power is shifting east and they can't stop the inevitable.

It might take 20 years for big governments to realise that bitcoin is a great global trading currency, and various bannings in the mean time will take a while to roll back. I believe they will all come around to the realisation eventually though. I think this will be driven by gras roots adoption due to various inevitable currency failures in smaller countries like Argentina.

Small countries that are either imcompetent at running their economies and or have been targeted by the economic hit man http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confessions_of_an_Economic_Hit_Man are not rare. These practices of hegemony will probably never go away.

In short, the more governments and banks commit economic crimes against populations, the more opportunties bitcoin has to rescue people.  I genuinely believe this.

Now the challenge really is just education. Because most of these victims don't have chance of getting bitcoin when basic literacy is probably a main concern.

Wasn't that when Nixon said: "We must stand up against the tirany called poverty!!. F00k the world, f00k gold price, Print dem billz and press dem coinz!!! We is all rich!!!"

After that they figured out what inflation was Cheesy

Bitcoin is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get !!
