http://hackingdistributed.com/2014/06/16/how-a-mining-monopoly-can-attack-bitcoin/
Educate yourself.

51% thread is real and Bitcoin's protocol is very vulnerable. Nobody will invest in this.

Is this your ONLY source to have turned what is an unprecedented technological development into "rotting worthless shit" in your eyes?

Nobody will deny that there aren't threats or vulnerabilities. Name ANY system that is 100% secure, please. To believe BTC is impervious is sheer delusion manifest by desire. Having said that, all the bitcoin breaking fears of the 51% attack given in your source have rebuttals and you can even find them ON THAT PAGE, if you bothered to read the amateur comments given as well instead of taking the article written by 2 individuals as inerrant gospel. Even the propositions they give of the subtle attacks requires some entity to defy mathematical probabilities so unlikely, and continually becoming further unlikely, that panicking now and claiming the "scam has failed" only shows an inept understanding, borderline thought disorder. In every case of "evil" potential given this "evil" intending party with >51%, not to mention they technically wouldn't even need 51% to pull off many of these things, they would have to hold this dominance for an extended period of time, and theoretically at least give the impression of permanently holding it as well.

Is this why you're panicking?

Soon bitcoin will be a house hold word. proud americans with their "reserve currency" status is about to fall and the rise of a decentralized public ledger across the world will take on new meaning through Blockchain Technology. Etherum is a pivotal example with the pre-sale of "Ether' that produces tens of millions for the development of the new ethereum blockchain with ''contract" application. Its just a hint about the time when the banksters get out, because btc can fall as low as it needed to get ether higher. The process of leaking the money in 'descendant' technologies could be a reason for bitcoin downward trend.

There is no way you can predict prices 100% all the time. This isn’t news it almost reads as
a script to get people to panic sell

So, basically the OP is gloating because the price keeps dropping and it's in the 400-398 area as of this post, ergo, OP is going "see? told ya so!" and trying to warn everyone that this drop means the same thing as the permanent end of bitcoin, everyone loses 100%, this is over, wrap it up and go home??

Reeeallly?

Wasn't there an event where it went waaaaaay up and then came waaaaaay down and people like OP made the same warnings, and then it went waaaaay up again before going waaaaaay down?

Does OP think this is one ride per ticket? That the bitcoin ride goes up, comes down, everybody loses or dies?

It's going down. Then it'll go back up. That's what it does. You're only going to lose money if:

1. the human race decides to end all forms of currency
2. the internet dies forever/catastrophic grid meltdown
3. everyone who has ever heard of bitcoin unanimously agrees to stop using it
4. an asteroid hits the earth and wipes out everything organic

Unless those things happen, bitcoin isn't Game Over even if the value drops to 2 bucks - because of the group of people who unanimously agree bitcoin is smart currency and game changing. As long as any of us exist, bitcoin isn't going anywhere and its price will simply fluctuate back and forth, up and down, indefinitely until it levels out at an average price...but even then it'll still fluctuate in smaller increments.

So, OP, the assertions everyone who's invested in bitcoin are fools and losers who are somehow on a one trip ride to nowhere are short sighted, ignorant and clueless to bitcoin's actual value.

You gotta be *this tall* to ride Bitcoin...doesn't seem to me you're there yet.

Oh. Troll thread. I get it. Eh well, true anyway. Tongue

You say "anti government" like that's a bad thing...

Unfortunate times will bring out the best in good people and the worst in bad people

Hey Severro

Where'd you go?

I think he had some kind of tailoring emergency, reports are that he ran from the building screaming something about his shorts.
