Method 1:- Unplug your router, wait for some time, plug it in again.

Method 2:- Use a VPN or a proxy.

EDIT: Additionally, if you are going for method 2, I'd suggest PIA. Costs around 0.006 BTC (3$) a month if you buy it as a yearly package, being half the cost of the closest competitiors. Best quality too, and it allows using 5 devices at once, each can access 18 Servers across the world.

No longer active on bitcointalk, however, you can still reach me via PMs if needed.

Use a VPN or a proxy. Tor is a quick and easy solution as well.

Due to an article that BitcoinTalk didn't like that I wrote on CCN, my account is banned. Theymos refuses to reply to my request for hearing his side of the story instead of banning my account. Please sign my petition to get Theymos to unban my account. Thank you.

For what purpose do you seek to change the Internet Protocol address associated with your computer? If it is to access a particular website which you cannot with your current IP address, an ideal solution would be to purchase access to a VPN service. Of the thousands there are to choose from, one I believe is a good choice is Private Internet Access, which happens to sponsor this very forum. I wish you luck with your IP address changing adventure!

You should use TOR: Make a Tails live cd. It's the safest option as far as I know.

Go to tails.boum.org. Download the DVD image. Burn it to a blank disk. Restart your computer using it.

Go to your NIC (network card), right click/properties/configure click advanced, look for network address.. change this to any 12 digit number, click ok, then disable/re-enable NIC after about a minute, voila, should be a new ip, works every time with any isp.

Note no VPN or whatever?

Yeah thanks decks.. any other docsis hacks..? yup..

I do not agree with the opinion you have voiced with your post. For what purpose do you seek to track the IP address of the original poster of this thread?

I've covered my router with tinfoil specifically to avoid this scenario.  Cool

You can easily chnage your IP through Mozilla firefox or Google chrome add-ons. You just need to install foxyproxy on your browser.

If you use other browser (Example: Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer) I think your using different IP. I tried it before I'm not really sure if your IP is changing. In my experience I tried using those 3 browser together and I'm opening same website in 3 browser the website are detecting different IP's.

Just download any of the free VPN software out there. Plenty of free OpenVPN configs out there as well that you could download and use.
