This is an email I'm sending to my kid's teachers.

Dear Teacher,

In anticipation for Teacher Appreciation Week, I would like to give you $5 USD in a new digital currency that is poised to change the world, just like the Internet and email did decades ago.

Get noticed, yes. Get you into awkward conversations, also yes. Starting a conversation with an employee of the government by offering them drugs is not terribly prudent.

Interested in drugs doesn't mean they do buy drugs, don't forget.  Sometimes the thought of possibly rebelling against the law (by having Bitcoins that couldn't be tracked and could be traded for drugs one day, personal stash of money that no one would ever know etc etc) will stir the interest in a teenager's heart. However telling that to a mature, older person who is law-abiding and doesn't want any brushes with the law would possibly make them forgo all contact with Bitcoin.

Fair point, but I think that would be the exception rather than the rule. And the last thing we want to do is create more illegal drug-related PR for Bitcoin; it's had far too much already.

Thank you guys.... I am completely honored by your support. I can only say my ideas were inspired by far more intelligent and creative people than me... I just happened to have been lucky enough to hear their ideas and combine a few together to make something new. I hope I can inspire anyone else to do the same, have the fire of Bitcoin burn in your soul, and come up with something really awesome too that ensures Bitcoin's world success.

I was waiting for some wallets to confirm and experimenting with the easywallet email feature when a server blew up at work so I didn't actually get a chance to send the email yet. I'll send it tonight but I dont expect to hear anything about it until next week during the event.
