I may be interested in buying small amounts of gold and silver from those of you that:

1)  are willing to ship first via USPS insured with tracking
2)  are willing to use an escrow, though I would ultimately prefer option #1 (I have the rep)
3)  will sell @ spot price -- a 1:1 trade at market value
4)  live in the USA or Canada

This thread is primarily to gauge supply, but I am looking to buy in upcoming days/weeks if market conditions look good to me.

Post a reply or PM me if you meet these criteria and are looking to potentially exchange gold/silver for BTC.  My hope is that there are some of you that have some gold/silver but do not have easy access to obtaining BTC without paying a ton of fees to send money all over the place to get them.

I will have access to 20 oz of silver by Friday. However, it will not be at spot ( the smaller the quantities the larger the differential) but I can give you a deal if you take it all.

I prefer escrow, but I have already ships out 2 separate orders.

How would you like the silver? Large bars are cheaper for me and you and thus more savings.

I am living in Canada, but you'll have to cover the shipping and tracking.

What kind of price would I be looking at for a 5 oz. minted bar?

Hm, thanks for the offer but it seems a little steep.  Coinabul currently has them at 37 BTC.  I'm mostly looking for stuff from non-dealers because they might be looking to save rather than profit.  BTC can carry a premium too (as evidenced by Ebay, Dialcoin, etc.) because of the hassle and fees associated with obtaining them.

Thanks though!  I've glanced at your silver maple thread a few times and I'll keep it in mind.

Just curious if "market value" includes the premium associated with bullion coins.

For example, look at http://www.monex.com/liveprices - the spot price of a Vienna Philharmonic is $1653 or $1717?

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

If you are interested in anything larger, I have 2 100oz bars I am willing to part with for market value. Shipping would be apart from that price and would go USPS Flat rate anywhere in the USA. Escrow will be used.

Yes, it includes the premiums, but I'd prefer they're uncirculated and/or graded.

I'll also match the joint's offer, but for Australia only, rather than USA and Canada. I trust the joint won't mind the thread hijack and bump, since I'm not actually competing with him.  Wink I'm interested in bullion, 1966 50 cent pieces, or pre-decimal junk silver coins (threepences, sixpences, shillings, florins etc.)
