Hey I was moving coins from one wallet to another last night and it's stuck at unconfirmed. I was moving it to a time sensitive wallet and it's now expired, I've checked the transaction and it's STILL stuck at unconfirmed. Is there any way of me reclaiming this or is it gone forever?

What wallet you are using to send this transactions? If you send it via blockchain.info they will cancel it after 24 hours if remaind unconfirmed. Other wallets will keep sending it you need export your keys and open it on other wallet to send it.

Yeah I'm using blockchain.info. It's not a lot of cash but it's never nice to lose anything. I'll guess I'll just wait until tonight to see what happens. Thanks, I've moved coins around a few times without any hassle this is the first time anything like this has happened to me!

U might like to check the confirmation of your tx id on the following block explorers...

Did you pay a transaction fee?
Blockchain usually tells you if you need to add a fee.
If it's an important transaction I recommend you pay the fees.

As  far as I'm aware it takes it automatically, I've done it exactly the same way several times before and since and it's been fine

Yup a TxID will be helpful.

If you cannot find the tx on block explorers other than blockchain.info, it may indicate that bc.i has failed to broadcast the tx to the network.

There is a 5460 satoshi dust output rule in bitcoin that transaction with such small output will not be relayed to the network.
You should avoid creating such transaction in the future. Smiley

This Tx has sent 0.1563 BTC from 1DnkqQRnc2JZWEUngdPkEPiYp214qJYvhV to 15fUbcSY5knT8rCrATee3RiU54LmSKxMc5. It seems that 0.000002 BTC is the change to his own address. The Tx paid 0.0001 BTC mining fee as per blockchain.info.

Yup and that 0.000002 change output falls in the dust region.
The rule treats your "normal" outputs the same way as your "change" output.

If you try to push such transaction on your bitcoin-qt, you will receive a warning "64: dust (code -26)".

This

edit: I think I understand what's going on. So really my best hope is just to wait it out and the BTC should come back.

Hmm... Seems nothing has changed. Should I hold out hope or just write it off and make sure I don't leave so little change behind next time?

All I know is I sent the money and left enough to cover the fee in my account like I've done every other time and now it's just sat in purgatory Sad

There is nothing you can do other than waiting for the transaction to get dropped in the site's mempool.
There is no need for you to write-off the bitcoin as the transaction will for sure get dropped, sooner or later.
