Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I am selling 24k Australian gold nuggets for 8.75BTC per gram shipped within the USA. Depending on USD/BTC price this is actually under spot value a little

I have the following nuggets available;

1.41 grams
1.67 grams
2.24 grams
2.33 grams

As with the silver thread, I am curious where you get this!

You want to know where one can obtain gold, or where I got this gold in particular?

is there any certificate with the nugget's purity?

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

No
So, there is little to no way of verifying you are truly selling gold at all then?

Equal to any other gold bought on the net, sure. So...are you buying?  Or just trying to scare off others from my sale thread?

EDIT - OK guys, I'm printing off a nice official looking "certificate" that PROMISES this is REAL GOLD! Will that make you feel better? LOL

Gold nuggets have a pretty distinct look to them; more likely he would just keep your bitcoin and not ship anything rather than go to the trouble sending you pyrite.  (not that I think he would!  I have no reason to trust/distrust AmpEater; though my gut makes me think he is legit.

What are the prices then?

Spot gold at current btc rate.  So the 2.33gram nugget would be (48$/g*2.33) / (17btc/$) or 6.57btc
