If you're looking for an easy, quick way to pick up a small amount of XCP just to try the platform out, and don't want to faff around with exchanges, this machine is for you. We are also providing a better way to transact with Bitcoin on the Counterparty Decentralised Exchange through the XBTC asset. Now, Counterparty is built on top of Bitcoin, so you can spend BTC on the decentralised exchange without having to convert it. However, because Counterwallet doesn't store your private key on any servers, it loses access to your private key if you log out or close the browser window. This means that unless your BTC order gets executed while you're logged in, it will most likely time out and get cancelled. While it's great that the ability to transact in BTC exists on a next-gen platform, it's clunky and frustrating. XBTC is a solution; it's a Counterparty-native asset that can be held in full escrow, and can be cashed into or out of quickly and easily via the vending machine.
