All,

I am looking for a deeper understanding of Bitcoin's network functionallity, and am in need some some help regarding protocol analysis for bitcoin...

I'm tried countless hours to compile the wireshark 'bitcoin-dissector' (authored by "blueCommand") but with no success...

Is there another filter/dissector that people in the community are using for analysis of Bitcoin Protocol?

***specifics of my problem***
OS: ubuntu 10.04 x64 (have also tried Fedora 15 x64)
wireshark: 1.6.0rc2 (as blueCommand did), and tried from SVN (v.1.7.2 rev42170)

I've tried putting the 'packet-bitcoin.c' into /wireshark/epan/dissectors and then compiling it... didnt work.

i've tried to patch after install but i get the following error message: "patch: **** Only garbage was found in the patch input."

inb4, just review the source...

many thanx,

J
