The correct thread is actually https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

The post you quoted is actually what happens when you sell your account and try to steal it back

Have you also check the spam folder of your email account?

If you can't receive the email, you will need to follow the instructions in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0.
It is very likely you won't receive a fast response as theymos is busy and you may re-send the PM if you haven't got anything back after a week or so.
