I wanted to buy some bitcoins for a few weeks, but now finally got some spare money, I went to CoinPal and see they are not selling anymore. I want to buy say 10 bitcoins, but I only ever use credit card or paypal online. Everything is confusing me, I don't know what a wire transfer is or how to do one, all of the payment methods on MtGox confuse me (I live in New Zealand not the US)

Can someone point me in the right direction to buy 10 coins (easily! haha)

Thanks, sorry for being so n00bish

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

You can get a Dwolla account... it's no harder than Paypal and more accepted by folks around here, since their chargeback policy isn't nearly so one-sided.

There are some folks around here who will accept Paypal for small transactions. Not me---I'm not selling my bitcoins at the moment---but keep looking.

I went on the IRC channel and found someone in my country willing to sell me 10 coins for a bank deposit. I'll look into Dwolla, but I have some imaginary internet money now. Thanks.
