He seemed to be very aware 11 months ago that it's going to take over

It would suprise me if they didn't ask for advice on whether it could be a problem. CLearly it could be a very big problem down the line, but I'm not sure it will be for a very long time.

My concerns is not with the fact that he is asking expert advice, it's the way the question is posed " if Bitcoin, one of many growing challenges to currency hegemony, was anything he had to worry about. "

What needs to be protected, if he needs to worry about it? {The US Dollar} Well if it is, he needs to look a bit closer, to the people printing it out of existance.

Bitcoin is no threat to the US Economy, it's the banking system, that rides on the back of the black horse.

We live in a evil world.

You expect obama asking about crypto to be a plus?

By his job record so far, you have to worry about things being exact opposite of what he expects.

That's an old article from October.

Rumor circulated on Reddit that the CIA did a study on Bitcoin and didn't like the results of the research team (that BTC or digital currencies would replace $Fiat), so they cut the funding.. could be urban legend..

Of course they're interested in it and should be concerend about the possible effects, but I doubt they're worried right now, but bitcoin has the potential to be a seed that could cause them trouble in the future.
