Accounts don't get banned for not being "legit". They get banned for breaking rules, like continuously posting low quality and/or off-topic posts, unsolicited PMs, and that sort of thing. I checked over your friend's posts and they're very low quality (though I've seen worse), so that could be the reason he was banned. Looks like we'll have to wait for a mod to know for sure.

Based on his posts, like Bitcoins101 said, he was probably (temp)banned for spamming. His posts do seem to be quite low quality. People aren't banned for not being legit or being scammers.

His posts aren't weak, it just seems like a newbie posting away. Are we going to ban clueless newbies?

In any case, how do you know if your account is temporarly banned, or permanently banned?

Temp bans will state the duration. His posts are pretty poor, but I've seen worse, but we also don't know if those were the sole reason why he was banned. If he was account farming all of his accounts will've got banned along with that one and it could be the best of a bad bunch, but he could've also been sending PM spam or doing something else.

This exact question has been asked many times, and the answer is always the same:

Why in hell? He is a legit guy.

Don't play dumb. Your other account got banned because you're spamming useless garbage to rank up the accounts, most likely to sell later. Exactly what you're doing on your current account also.

Look at the time stamps of your post history. You don't even attempt to make it discrete.

Very astute. Smiley

Yeah, account farmer, both his, and quite a few others. Taking out the trash.

Can't really blame these people, can you? From what i've gathered from browsing this forum and forums about "how to make BTC" sort of thing, signature campaing ads are what paids better. If there were other ways for normal people (what one would call, the 99%) to obtain BTC besides risking actual money, then maybe, maybe the price of Bitcoin wouldn't be tanking as we speak. The Joes of the world are never going to risk their hard earned wage money in this, and without them Bitcoin will never take over. There probably wouldn't be anything wrong with farming lots of accounts just as long as you posted decently and contributed to discussions with them, but these people don't; they post crap as quick as they can and exclusively in off-topic.

If you are in favor of earning money via sig campaigns, you should be thanking me. Dealing with these types of spammers and attempting to curb this type of behavior will allow them to continue. People like the OP, who had ~50 accounts (I lost count) are the ones who are going to be the end of sig campaigns if we can't stop this type of behavior (ending sig campaigns or restricting them somehow isn't out of the question even though it's been allowed so far). I'm guessing he only asked about the one because he didn't realize most of the others had been banned as well, and he also wanted information on how to avoid getting the rest banned.

I don't care about multiple accounts themselves. You can post on as many accounts as you want, and many do have multiple accounts, and I've left many alone because while they post on multiple accounts, they don't let it degrade their post quality. Why they post on multiple accounts I don't know, and I don't care, it's none of my business what they do and why, as long as they aren't breaking the rules.
