As I said, he is just a bluffer. Never actually managed to do anything. Not even sure why everybody panics when he says he will kill something.

I guess some people where not born when Auroracoin was around..

BCX attacked Auroracoin before.

No shit Sherlock!

BCX did never attack Auroracoin.

What happened was that he pointed out that AUR was vulnerable to time warp.
Balduro (lead dev) denied that was the case. BCX asked him to retrace that statement or he'd give an actual "demonstration".
Things never got to that stage, however as Nite69 (the actual dev) stepped in and admitted the flaw existed. BCX was
satisfied with that, told that he'd pull back, and that was that, everybody thrashed their popcorn and went home.

Personally, I feel that the MEW group and dev response, which included several important folks that are typically outside of the XMR circle, was beyond impressive.  It was substantial and perfectly executed.  Anybody who doesn't think the coin is MORE valuable now than it was pre-threat honestly isn't paying much attention.

In other words, the market seems to be undervaluing XMR, by my guess, in the range of 15-20% right now.  It's on discount.  Your mileage may vary.

Really? Have you read the Monero ANN thread recently? Even some core supporters admit the inflation is pretty bad and to maintain a price of .0004 required an unrealistic amount of daily BTC influx.

There was a big fuss over there because the devs (new or old, I don't really know) want 1% of all mining to go into a development fund of sorts, much to cover money spent today and in the past few days. Then there was a pretty stiff "no" reaction from pretty much everybody.

Fact is, they are having internal problems right now that could be "coinkillers" of their own... Maybe the decay of XMR will come from within...

You may well be right.  The reason for the lack of a snapback might be related to emissions.  I'd suspect my time horizon for would last longer than current  inflationary pressures.  So this looks like a great opportunity for sustained accumulation--for me, anyway.  Again, your mileage may vary.

Nutildah is only right in  trolling against Monero for months.

Developers had no plan to change any emission plan.
Current emission plan is perfect since will keep Monero cheap to buy for everyone, untill will be decently developed.
And as troll said, there need to be find a way, that at least costs developers have with developing Monero. I am not talking of their time spent, but money they invest from their pocket, are being fully paid and there are founds for future expenses. This is a must do. I am saying that from top of my mind, i heard not so long ago number 115 BTC of costs developers spend from their pockets for the coin. It can be totally wrong.

You shouldn't ask for more money from the users of your product after they've already paid for it. Its just not very ethical.

Just imagine if the dollar required its users to pay into a fund for its maintenance and development.

If you're not asking for money, what are you going to repay the developers with? Usually developers don't ask for payment for work on their own coin.

That's because usually they take their cut some other way, like a premine pump-and-dump

Yes but its ridiculous to assume that the dev(s) therefore need to be "repaid." Sounds like an outright scam to me.

There was a threat, not an attack. The exploit never materialised.

I do believe that BCX had preparations underway and could have succesfully warped the
Aurora chain with its moderate hashrate, but in this case a truce was reached.

You might want to research that a little further.

Balduro and Nite69 the lead devs openly admitted I had an active TW in progress.

~BCX~

Well OK. I read your post in the other thread.
It is possible that my memory failed here and the AUR attack chain was actually
released before the truce.
