Bitcoin has long been the currency of traders and financial businessmen. Not many charities or other non profit organizations have yet started accepting Bitcoin donations as many simply do not have the capacity or time and resources to set up donations systems. However one of the leading charities campaigning for a change in global attitudes towards global warming, GreenPeace has announced today that it will be accepting Bitcoin as a payment method for donations.

This situation will change. The Square will ingrate bitcoin payment into the Register, which will make merchant decrease the cost of implementing bitcoin payment system.

Bitcoin alone, for now at least.

Note: Donations to Greenpeace USA are NOT tax deductible.
