Am open to negotiating an up-front one time fee or some sort of profit-sharing terms.

Just be careful when it comes to buying pre-made scripts or just hiring a coder. It would be easy for them to implement a backdoor. Make sure you trust the person you start a company with 100%.

Not sure about what kind of work he has done in the past, but rather looks like he is looking to get a site setup for himself, and does not seem like he is a developer for any site.
