We asked the exchanges to do this as a precautionary measure.

Had BCX been ethical and had there been responsible disclosure we would not have this situation.

When we had the block 202612 attack we asked exchanges to halt trading as well as deposits and withdrawals, as in the 20 minutes after it happened we were reeling and trying to figure out what had just happened. That emergency halt lasted longer than the 24 hours we've asked for. If you don't like the actions we took to protect our users then there are plenty of other cryptocurrencies for you to choose from.

You think Bitcoin is a perfect name because of it's influence as the first cryptocurrency, nothing else, and the only reason Bitcoin has 1,000's of users more than any other cryptocurrency is because it was the first and had a few years headstart, not to mention new cryptocurrencies are having much much bigger communites than Bitcoin ever did was it first came out(because of more awareness), so it's only logical that a new coin will take over Bitcoin eventually.

Everyone I've known who wasn't a techie/geek or not involved with Bitcoin deeply(which is 99.9% of people) thought Bitcoin was play money or didn't know it exist.. They never took it seriously and honestly, Bitcoin is a pretty shitty name. Anything with "coin" in it, sounds like play money.

I don't care about Monero specifically, I care about upholding the truth(with a bit of comedic input)
