I've been away from bitcoin for awhile, got this email from MTGOX saying how i needed to send in all this info such as state id, etc etc.  However, the links they gave me were marked as untrustworthy by Web of Trust.

However, the email were from info@mtgox.com, but it seemed like an imposter email from another email made to appear as info@mtgox.com and the links were false links to other addresses.  And they didnt address me by my name or username, but simply as "mtgox user"

Just wondering if mtgox has made everyone send in their id's and documents in the last 6-7 months, thanks.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Obvious scam is obvious?
Just log in to mtgox and check what they say about when and how to identify yourself.

Never rely on "From" address. It's like, the easiest thing to forge.

ok that's what I thought.  Reason I didn't login to check was because i didn't want to go through old box to dig for yubikey.

Yea, good point, Bitcoin is so 2011, might just as well throw away that damn antique yubikey.
