Please provide as much ongoing info on your coins as you want! Updates, long infographics, youtube videos, subreddits, exchange links, whatever you want.. Please do not let the fact that this cross-marketing idea was ours discourage you from fully utilizing this thread in an ongoing basis.

This vote will stay active, we will be adding more coins outside of our starter POD selection, and pruning coins with no support.

I understand that most if not all cryptocurrencies are largely direct competitors, it's an unavoidable war. However, the thing to consider is that taking some time to look at the larger picture reveals our entire community to be much smaller than it may look at first glance. There are a TON of bitcoiners out there and growing fast, but don't make the mistake of thinking that all bitcoiners are altcoiners just because it's the other way around.

There are far fewer altcoiners than you think that see the advantage of competitively developing and growing upon the original Bitcoin architecture. If we want to change this we need to be willing to work to together to a degree through cross-promotion.

Let's take Jim for example.
 
Jim is HUGE into bitcoin, but he see Altcoin as a bunch of copycat scammers that want to make money by creating their own bitcoin clones. He decides to head over to the altcoin section to troll them for being suckers, and heads into a big "Best Altcoin" voting thread. But what's this? Jim sees a river of exciting innovations.. Completely stealth coins, highly dynamic merchant and payment processing platforms, and APPS! BRILLIANT APPS EVERYWHERE! And all these coins are rated.. and rated well? "Why.. this is an incredible, bustling community stuffed with ongoing innovatations! Is this what has been hiding under the altcoin rug?" Jim thinks to himself, as he converts his life savings into crypto.

Over the coming months I will be driving traffic to and marketing this thread. I fully suggest adding some clean, inviting info about your projects and investments to this thread, politely welcoming others in the altcoin community to do the same, and inviting people outside of our community to come take a look at what we have going on as a whole.

If altcoin volume goes up.. we all go up!

+1! If we all work together we can help push the legitimate coins to public awareness!

but you guys won the vote, its not even possible to rig the poll...Stealth could just as easily (and have) promoted here... I cant really understand your reasoning. Were all trying to give credit to our coins. The vote was a good platform to get new views from new investors. I wont deny that. Funny thing is I'm even actively bumping like 11 coins in my general crypto IRC room. We've got a list of group picks and coins that are currently pumping. I actually added XST and SDC to the list after realizing they were among the best supported coins through this thread.. It's not just Aero marketing.. I invest in more than one coin and like easy access to finding the best haha.

But stealthcoins are still completely traceable back to the coinbase it is not 100% anon and however nice the sms text is (and it is nice but its only for sending secure message to your client to issue rpc commands) that is about as far as the stealth really goes for now

It wasnt some trick... it was posted to gain attention to aero, but also to get attention for other good coins. The vote was fair. I let other coins threads know about it... I think the vote is pretty accurate too. A lot of aero holders are stealth holders...

This post was a cross-marketing idea thought up by the always proactive Aero community, we got first spotlight for starting it, but cross-marketing benefits everyone..

Also how would you suggest manipulating votes? Accounts needs age and activity on them to vote.. plus wouldn't we put Aero in the lead if we were doing that? It's all community votes.

If anything you should just take into account that Aero has a marketing savy enough community to think this up! On top of the gold campaign and everything else.. we don't just twiddle fingers and troll the dev.  

We don't care if we win, XST and the others with high votes are all good coins.. We just want to shed light on the clear front runners!

(Also we went out of our way to get the deleted infographic posts back in the thread.. all of them... including the one from XST..)

Sonic looks pretty interesting as well.

This was one of the few coins I picked out early. The dev is solid, and this app is an awesome concept. Would recommend.

i voted for checkcoin, because its finally something new.
while anon is cool i think we have enough approaches in that area now.

about checkcoin:

-pod5+, started and maintained by a legit dutch company called 'bitsend'
-new geolocation feature in the works
-physical 'treasure hunting' and faucets
-great way for businesses to advertise and reward customers

... there are prolly more possibilities i fail to discribe or haven't thought of.
