Technically, LTC and DOGE support is through GoCoin only, but still it's one of the companies Paypal is partnering with. But yeah, very cool!

No this news means both coins will be going down, after the initial pump from the news.

Look at Doge - capitalization went down & down after they spent money to promote at the Olympics and Nascar.  Paypal accepting LTC and Doge is like giving a 14 year old $60,000 on a credit card and going away for a month and coming back and finding all the money has been spent.

There ain't no Revolution like a NEMolution.  The only solution is Bitcoin's dissolution! NEM!

You have to multiply this child for 148.5 million active users of paypal that will begin to know and use litecoin and doge (and bitcoin  Wink)

I think he does. And what will happen after some time when this 150 millions see that LTC and Doge dont bring anything else then BTC does. Why they are special is because LTC was second and Doge put lots in promotion.

But overall, right now they will crop their profit of their specialty. Coins with filling niches that BTC will never bring, will just have to wait a bit more for their time to come.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if some members of the Paypal team, owned Dogecoin and Litecoin, and that's why they chose those coins. Those 2(apart from obvious scamcoins), might be the absolute worse coins to choose with doge's endless inflation(constant price fall), and litecoin being a bitcoin 101 clone(constant price fall).

This. Paypal isn't going to be a direct service purveyor for LTC or DOGE; and frankly I don't think they had any short or medium-term plans to do so. So people will have to go "out of their way" in some form to execute these transactions. Nonetheless, the value of exposure on a larger scale is going to be pretty good. It'll just probably take some time for this to have any significant impact (like so many other things which people in crypto seemingly hate for some reason).
