For the price of this, you can pretty much pick up an arm based (a8? don't know a lot about arm devices) netbook/laptop. Or a few dollars more. I can't find a solid price on a beaglebone at the moment. Although I do know you can pick up an used atom based netbook.
This has the benefits of a case,power supply with battery, screen, a reasonable hard drive (whether ssd or hdd), plenty of ram and a keyboard/mouse. All in one. For the same cost. No hacking required.
Granted it's not as cool, but it's simpler. When mining, simplicity wins.
As far as an ARM based miner, pooler has one going.
Ignore this if I've completely missed the point of your thread (using a low powered arm device to run linux and drive your BFls.)
Thanks for your thoughts, you didn't miss the point of my thread. I'm not stuck on the Beaglebone, I just look for comparable alternatives. AFAIK one can buy the BB for 89$ and it appears it takes up to 500mA @ 5V.
