Im a big fan of the Bitmaintech but I been looking at the Sp20 and Sp30 and they look good and even on the math part (all the calculators)

looking for advice on what to get because we are thinking about getting the sp30 with a few sp20s if its recommended.
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Please share your "math".

The AM prisma tubes are a far better deal as Philip pointed out and even those are unlikely to ROI without very cheap electricity.

As for your question, it's impossible to answer because we don't have a release date or specs for the S4.

Efficiency will likely be the deciding factor and we don't even know how the "fixed" spondooliestech miners will perform.

your answer can not be answered as you can not send any coin to bitmaintech so no one knows the answer.

my answer which was not the answer you are looking for is the correct answer for the most likely to roi of the current gear offered for sale.

If I was to buy I would buy the  prisma tube super tube as first choice

Amazingly  my second choice is an antminer s-3 on ebay  which I can get for 261 after coupons.

my third choice is the sp20

my foruth choice is the bigger dragon miner 1.5th

my fifth choice is the unavailable s-4

if I could buy an s-4 I would order it  as my third choice over the sp20

but since I can not buy a s-4 I can not anwer the question you are asking.

I can tell you I purchased an s-3 tonight on ebay.  I paid the sell 300 and I got back  39 in coupons so I paid 261 for it. At 261 it is better fro me then the sp20 or the s-4

why?

I have  a spot for it to be used as a space heater that will lower my heating cost quite a bit..

I can make it be quiet  and still hash at 440gh.

I want the super tube most likely I will order it.  Most likely I will never order a spondoolie as I can't get them to agree to my terms.

Ie hand delivery from Lakewood NJ to Howell NJ.  About 1 or 2 miles.  And they know what I mean when I ask for that delivery.

so the s3 miner is better for you ?
How about  those miners who do not have a large place to place many little miners ?

I agree with you on this one because we bought 3 S3's for our network and was looking into newer machines after hearing about sp and the s4 ideas start to change and wonder we want more of a network then what we got soon we may have it just don't know which way to go. I guess it depends on the s4 specs as well.

I responded to another post of yours in another thread but thought I add this here too...

The SP30 is no longer for sale. You can order an SP35 but that doesn't ship until the end of November. The SP20 ships the 2nd half of October.

I saw that i did mean to say sp35(which we may be getting) but I was thinking more about trying the sp20 or the s4. s4 I would know what to expect if we get another machine.

It isn't currently.  S4 is $1450.

To the OP, the S4 should ship before either the SP35 or the SP20.  Bitmain claims end of September; however, sources have stated a 10/7 date is more likely.  Also, you need to consider that the SP20 requires external PSU, while the SP35 and S4 will have internal units.  In terms of pricing, there really isn't a realistic model out there that shows you making back your investment on any of the units.

Jonny's Pool - Mine with us and help us grow!  Support a pool that supports Bitcoin, not a hardware manufacturer's pockets!  No SPV cheats.  No empty blocks.

I agree I went with 1.4T+ AM prisma tubes = $670 with controller.

SP20 and S4 too loud and/or expensive.

Note that the SP30 has been replaced by the SP35 which is superior but does not run on 120V.  This could be a nuisance if you are in the US.

Agree. Take a look at this post.  I'll send my spreadsheet to anyone who PMs me an email address.

With the difficulty jumps the SP35 isn't worth it in my opinion 5++ months to come to break even, way too much risk... 240v is not a problem in the US, it just requires a different breaker or Colocation. No one would run an SP35 at home, because of the noise though.

I will also get Prisma tube, they are inexpensive and more quiet.

The AM prisma tubes are an absolutely fantastic deal.  You'd be a fool not to take it.
