Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

It seems like no one answers S3 questions in this forum.  I sent an email to Bitmain this morning regarding my hashing speed not going any higher than 290ish.  Hopefully they will reply soon.

Problem is solved. I believe the issue was caused by the 4 pin connector terminal on the new board not being fully seated.
