News: BIP91 seems stable: there's probably only slightly increased risk of confirmations disappearing. You should still prepare for Aug 1.

How in the Lord Hell do I figure out what my email hash and that crap was for the raffle?  I only went to public high school.

It's very transparant, just follow the instructions in the opening post. The winner has already come forward Smiley

You do realize you're in a room full of people who are constantly trying to engineer new ways to compute said hashes faster and more efficiently, right?

In all seriousness though, he posts the results of sha256(email) which you can find by entering your email address in the hash calculator he linked to and see if your email addy matches the #1 result.

This isn't done to make people unaware of when they win, it's to prevent giving away your email address while still publishing the results publicly.

Awesome, thanks for the help, Midskes!  I am a newbie (that is why I am here) and still trying to learn.  Your post was helpful.

enmaku - No.  I didn't realize I am in a room full of people who are constantly trying to engineer new ways to compute said hashes faster and more efficiently.  Last I checked, this is a newbie forum --- and I am a newbie.

But thank you for linking me to the calculator.  I learned something new and will hold on to this information.

Thank you.

The raffle was for a device that computes millions of SHA256 hashes per second, I figured it wasn't unreasonable to ask you to compute one. Plus, the entire process was explained in the raffle thread. The SHA256 calculator I linked you to? It's the one GigaVPS linked you to as well. Sorry if I'm unreasonably harsh but one of my pet peeves is people who don't actually read directions then complain when they can't follow them.

Well know that I see the humor in it, that was rather funny.

And I will take this as a lesson learned and I will read entire posts.  I have severe ADHD and I swear I cannot read one paragraph without wanting to go look at some boobs, then shortly after want a steak, then shortly after watch Sponge Bob while breakdancing on cardboard I got from ordering computers on newegg, cooking macaroni and cheese with bacon from pigs I raised in the back yard.

See... my brain goes offffff in wonderland too much.

But I appreciate your help.
