I bet its shareholders don't agree with you. The Federal Reserve would have no power if it's wasn't because of the privileges that the US government gives to it.

whilst I agree with a lot of what that says, the undeniable fact remains that the US has achieved massive growth during the last 100 years, and indeed even the poorest people in the USA live enviable lives compared to people in other countries.

Bitcoin is the greatest form of protest there is. Vote in the only way that really counts: with your money.

Is that "really hard lesson" that imperial beats federal?

no, its a lesson about how letting a bunch of bankers print money to "help" the economy ends up destroying it.

I don't know if you've been following the news, but the House of Representatives (US) has just voted in favor 333-92 for the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, aka Audit The Fed. I created a Government petition:
http://wh.gov/iiFlu

Please, if we can get 100k signatures, then we may be able to get the white house to force a vote in the senate! Please share

The people who created it are happy.

I bet most people don't know it's not a gov't agency. And even less people know who created it.

Basically a bunch of tycoons met up, wrote a bill and gave it to congress.

Richer getting richer everyday, so, not a failure.

That's the newest SCAM they been using lately. They have to admit something we already know.

The government uses words to trick the public.

"Transparency" is nothing.

We need "ACCOUNTABILITY" which should equal loss of job or criminal prosecution.

And the credit for growth goes to the Fed?

In the great words of Ron Paul end the fed.

It's enough with letting everyone use whatever currency they want. So people will start using better money, like gold, silver or bitcoins, and nobody will use USD, so it doesn't matter what the FED does. The problem is the government.

If you use gold, silver or bitcoins, you had better keep a log with all your transactions. You never know when the IRS might come calling.  Smiley
