Can someone not-a-newbie put me in touch with 'gmaxwell'?  I'd like to respond to his request for info from people who've reproduced a possible bug (new client stuck syncing block chain at block #176947) in this post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=78307.0

...but I can't reply due to my n00b status (just now created an account so I could look for some help on this exact issue!)

Info:
bitcoind client v0.6.1, from github.
I've got logs and can send my .bitcoin directory if it'll be of use fixing this bug (and getting my client unstuck!!)

Thanks y'all.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Reinstall usually does the trick.  Delete any folders associated with the client and keep your wallet.dat before anything ... but you should already always have a backup of your wallet.dat file.
