There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Ben Lawsky to Deliver Bitcoin Keynote at Money20/20

I would love to believe that, but Benjamin has proven himself to be an enemy of bitcoin. The BitLicense restrictions are just preposterous and effectively make it illegal for anybody in the world to do bitcoin business in NY without completely submitting to the will of the NYDFS. There is absolutely no reason to believe that this career politician will use this platform to do anything other than praise his newest bill and appease big banks.

Benjamin wants bitcoin to be even more heavily regulated than the USD, and that is simply impossible. He is going to turn NYC into London 2.0, a shell of its former self that will play just a minor role in the financial world.

In other news, David Duke will deliver the keynote at the joint conference of NAACP, ADL, and NCLR.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.
