Hey everyone,
I'm considering running a signature campaign. Would I have to manually count and check everyone who uses my campaign's posts? If I have 20 people in my campaign and each has 50 posts, that's 1,000 posts I need to manually check. Is there an easier way?
Thanks, busterroni

If you want to avoid getting scammed then yes. This post being in meta....there are no forum requirements that you need to check every post prior to sending payment. It is my understanding that there is a lower threshold to ban users with a paid signature (I do not have a reference for this) so if participants of your campaign start to spam they will more likely get banned.

You could try create or buy a bot to do a basic check, but if you're not willing to check people's posts you probably shouldn't be offering to run a signature campaign. And this doesn't really belong in Meta unless you're asking is it a mandatory requirement to do this.

You can always hire a person to count the posts for you, like for instance me , It might take me a whole day but I would do it for a little amount of btc.

You could also have a limited number of sign ups, this will let you manage the amount you spend on the campaign as well as the amount of posts.

If you're doing it manually I would guess you'd have to eye through it and not reading every post individually.
That said you'd still have to limit the amount of people participating, or maximum posts counted per period.

williamj is offering signature checks, its a bot that you run to double check everyone abides by the rules. As you post counting, you have t do that.

Looks like he's already gone ahead and started one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=799602.msg900539I think you should manually check peoples posts. IF you have less than 30 or so it shouldn't be too hard to give them a quick once over and check for spammers.

Yes I think you should check posts, many people will act opportunistically and post excessively in places like off topic.
I do not think it should be that hard to check posts. Simply go to their profile and check their last posts and see if they seem legit or not. Yes, it may take you a couple of minutes but that's better than getting abused.
I would also echo the suggestion to keep it small at first and maybe approach a few of your trusted users or people on the forum whose posts you like to start things off.
Good Luck!

This really depends how rich you are if you need to verify every post etc. You can always check peoples stats under profile which will give you an indicator of which forums they frequent. Someone who posts 60% in off topic for example likely wont be a good earner for you. You can also see how many topics they start vs replies.

Someone who posts 60% in off topic for example likely wont be a good earner for you. You can also see how many topics they start vs replies. He can't deny payment based on how they have posted prior to joining the signature campaign. As of now you cannot use the stats page for only the last "x" number of posts that someone has made. It would be very well possible that someone would change the way they post when they join a signature campaign
