Will it still happen this year? Will it impact prices significantly? Has there ever been previous ETFs that have affected stocks and proces dramatically?

Copy from my post in the wall observer thread:

--------------

Those who waits for ETF totaly fucked the market, cause anything other is not important. And you know what, ETF is imo not coming for at least a year or even two. Till then we will be just bleeding?

If you asked what would happen if paypal would start integrating bitcoin in the begining of this year everyone would be screeming 5k or 10k, now we can not fuckingly climb back to $500. And manipulators know that and they are here to milk everyone. Just because everyone wants to sell to buy a bit more a little lower of the cheap coins.

We did this ourself. When ETF comes and no result - then what? Smth new will come (regulation or anything) and ETF won't be a wanted story anymore. Damn, just sell to buy a bit lower a bit more.

Not Winkelvoss, but Secondmarket says they will have a fund available to retail investors this year:

While no idea is perfect, some ideas are useful.

Silbert said in december that in 3-6 months (10 months ago) billions are coming in BTC and all his talks with 43 large bank instituions with $X00 billions that wants to move in BTC... I think this says it all.

Until theres solid evidence on either side, you can't really say whether or not it will happen this year tbh.

Have to admit, i have always assumed it would be denied, even though i am a long term bull. Just seems to me .gov will not make shit that easy for us, i think it's more likely they will try and kill it.

What do you trolls have to gain by lying and saying the ETF is denied?

Personally, I don't think its trolling that much, its very optimistic to assume this will go through so easily, someone will try and make it hard.

This is good news! Silbert has lots of going on. Let's hope he will deliver.
