It seems as if there's been a lot of scammers popping up in here lately and it's causing potential buyers to be afraid and rightfully so, therefore I've decided to start an escrow service.

ESCROW RULES

-I will provide a free escrow service for ALL transactions (tips are graciously accepted)

- The buyer will send his/her coins to me and will be held until they receive the item/service/etc. at which time the coins will be released to the seller. I will notify the seller that I have received the coins AFTER their has been 6 confirmations.

-In the event the buyer claims he/she never received the item, the seller will be asked to provide relevant info that shows it has been received. If receipt is proven then coins will be released to seller, if seller does not provide proof within 5 days then coins will be sent back to the buyer.

-If a dispute arises I will mediate between both parties and base my decision on whomever has the best evidence.

Hopefully this will help the marketplace on here and protect members against the constant flow of scammers.

PM me if you are in need of my services Smiley

Jugg acted as an escrow agent on a 100BTC transaction for me. Great communication at all times, even sent a screenshot showing ownership of the address funds were sent to. Would definitely work with again if need be.

I feel my rep is pretty good around here but it never hurts to earn more. Plus, when I started offering my services the amount of scamming had gotten way out of hand. Almost every other thread had somebody yelling about being ripped off and it was bothersome to me that this kind of crap was happening on such a regular basis so I decided I would do my best to help remedy the situation. Plus most people will give you tips for ensuring the safety of their transaction which is always a nice bonus Cheesy

TL;DR
1. EARN REP
2. OFFER ESCROW
3.  Huh
4. PROFIT!

First, nice service.

Second, you are a fool Smiley Some guy buys a $1000 watch, and receives a brick, he is starting a dispute with you and the seller. The seller can provide a receipt that he has sent the package so according to your rules, he will get the money. And you are in the middle of all that for NO Profit! Fool!

A fool is someone who doesn't use escrow. If the buyer didn't ask whether or not the watch is real or fake then the burden would fall on the buyer. If the seller claims the watch is real but the buyer can prove that the watch is fake, then the 2 parties would have to reach some sort of agreement. If they couldn't reach an agreement then I would ask the buyer to ship the watch back to the seller at their own expense and once the seller receives the watch I would refund the coins back to the buyer. In my opinion this is the most fair way of handling the dispute.

My main goal is not to make a profit. Other escrow services, and there are plenty of them provided by members who are more respected than myself, will charge fees while providing their services. I see nothing wrong with that at all and commend them on providing a valuable service and making a profit while doing so. I started my escrow service when I had a few hundred posts less than I currently do so I couldn't justify charging while my reputation was still in the growing stages, I felt that offering it for free would help my reputation while at the same time helping the community.

In closing, thank you for bumping my thread Smiley

Either way you didnt understand or didnt want to understand what I said...

I said that your escrow service only protects the seller of the good as long as he has a receipt that he has sent something no matter what it was that he has sent. Could be a brick, could be the $1000 watch.

Taking your last stupid comment into consideration, you even allow now buyers to trick sellers:
Quote
If they couldn't reach an agreement then I would ask the buyer to ship the watch back to the seller at their own expense and once the seller receives the watch I would refund the coins back to the buyer.

So all the buyer has to do is to say, that he received a brick (while he got the $1000 watch), ship a brick back to the seller, show you the receipt and you give him his money back...

I mean who is trusting that kind of escrow here, I wouldnt accoring to what you wrote before... All you do is adding a little additional effort for the bad guy, while you have to deal with this crap...

If you want to do an escrow, then get the money and the goods, test the goods (give it to a jeweler in case of watches, or test it on your own if you can, like an HDD or GPU ...), charge something for your effort/expenses and forward the rest to the parties. Everything else is nonsense.

If thats still not clear for you, then Im sorry for you, anyway you wont see any further comments from me in this thread.

I'm sorry you don't agree with how I conduct my business but insults and threadcrapping won't win you too many fans around here. If you feel you can provide a better service than by all means feel free to start your own escrow, but I've had many happy customers whom I feel positive will ask for my help again if the need arises.

Escrow is for honest people trying to buy and sale goods without worry of never receiving them. A scam artist would just avoid escrow because of the chance of being caught before ever even successfully scamming anyone. Just sayin'

Juggalodarkclow acted as an escrow for a transaction of mine. He always replied to my messages on time and released the funds for the sale very quickly once the delivery was confirmed. Huge thumbs up Smiley
