No coin is ment to make you instant rich, but if you cant pay the electricity it takes to mine it, it makes a coin worthless.

I am thinking about what to do about the future. I should have made them merge minable to begin with.

I can let them mine out and keep the network moving easily enough. I could also readjust the mining difficulty for after 200,000 blocks so they are more difficult to mine, thereby extending the mining period.

I won't change the maximum money.

There should be another developer joining the project. So the decision will be made then. Hopefully we can think of a few other little moves to improve things.

At the moment I'm concentrating on the adult industry (looking for leads, not necessarily meaning the coins being used, but how the website can be used to ensure the coins become well known. Then there is China ... which I'm starting on today).

a good thing, merge mining would have been a good idea art the beginning, though a shame for those of us that have supported these coins by mining from the beginning.

See what happens, but anything that does would have to ensure people that have spent time and money mining are not punished.  It would have to be so that you don't lose out.

The only thing is to ensure the coin counts do not change and that nobody loses out that has mined and bought up until now.

Anything else is worth considering.

The simplest solution is to increase the difficulty of mining. That could be achieved by simply altering the percentages that the coins rise and fall when retargeting difficulty. A slight shift of 5 or 10% (in the appropriate directions) would make a big difference.

I could also always stick to the original idea. Keep the network alive to ensure transactions remain reasonably quick.

The point of them has always been BDSM and Fetish, not get rich quick.

Anyway, I'll see what happens, and anyone interested in the project, not the money, should join the team if he/she has competences in something relevant.

I think increasing the difficulty should do the trick. There is only a limited # of coins and with the right promotion and community we could be looking at the next UNO coin.

i'm not smart enough to understand the difficulty thing ... meaning more hash power more coins produced?  It may work but calculating future SHA256 asic capacity, say in 2017, that's a wild guess.  You need super math skills to figure that out

I favor fee only.  No reward.  Slap on some POS at 0% but can get trans Fees as reward.  Small time SHA miners will provide a safe networkhashps in the small TH/s range to protect network integrity.  

And yes merge.  The more people at the party the better the party.

I think we have a winner here guys. Those who are holding FET for the long term. We need to form a community here. I own UNO coins also and that community is one of the greatest. UNO coin has held its value well doing the Bitcoin crisis. Mainly because of the support it gets from it's community. FET can and should be treated no less. We must get active in posting here first. Take the time and come up with ideals or even stop by to say hello. Everyone has some type of FETISH and once we become creative. We will be able to reach MILLIONS if NOT BILLIONS. It's a good one, just remember not everyone is capable of social skills. I had hem, once, mainly with chicks.when I had manic periods.
