Darkcoin open-source (specifically Darksend which handles the anonymity part) is scheduled for 29th of september 2014, exact time unknown.

After that the developers will focus on developing a new system of Instant Transactions that (if it works) could transform
the whole cryptocurrency scene as transactions could be done in matter of 10's of seconds through Darkcoin's  Masternodes network.

Why exactly should we welcome centralization through these masternodes?

from where exactly did you get the idea its centralised ?

Any chance you would happen to have a link detailing the number of bitcoin full nodes to the ones that aren't full nodes as well, so that we could observe the ratio of masternodes to regular nodes in darkcoin to the full nodes/not full nodes in bitcoin?

Masternode Requirements

These nodes are the foundation of DarkSend, all transactions will be routed through these nodes. Each masternode requires that 1000DRK be kept on the node and each time that node is selected the network will dedicate 10% of that block to these nodes. If you are running a masternode you need to be fairly familiar with network administration and securing your host.

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/darkcoin-update-masternode-requirements-masternode-payments.225/

these Masternodes come from all over the world, they are as decentralised as they get... already over 800 Masternodes are active.

http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.html

if you have 1000 DRK you can easily get one up and running yourself.

So you don't have a link to support the statement that bitcoin is just as 'centralized' as darkcoin because there are much less full nodes than not full nodes? My point is that bitcoin seems to be doing fairly well. Additionally, the supernode network is required only to support the anonymity. The rest of the network can still run without it though.

So you mean there is no point to Darkcoin if I want a decentralized network with working anonymity.

So then your statement to the OP of this thread, who didn't ask to be shit on was:

I am not interested in the open sourcing of darksend, because I favor 100% decentralized networks that also provide my personal anonymity so I will kindly pass and await something else or continue using a different solution I tend to favor.

Add: You're now on my ignore list, as you have nothing legitimate to contribute. Not even an idea or question. I've edited my posts accordingly so that others don't have to suffer your strangeness.

Come-from-Above

I feel it's only fair to let people know, publicly, that I am ignoring them.

You are now also on this list.
