Today , an IPO / ICO coin is quite rare Can someone tell me why?
get back to the POW and POS coins or come up with something new developers
IPO / ICO coins are getting reallllllly boring.
do pow & pos coins if you want a succesful coin there's no succesful IPO/ICO's out there or atleast, its very rare.
if you need money for the development just make a unique idea to do so. Or have a premine but for godsake dont make it to big.
Thanks for reading this future coin developers!

It's obvious, with IPO/ICO devs make much more money, than with premine or pure POW/POS. Human greed, c'est la vie.

I'm shamelessly naming our Pipshares. Take a look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789775.0

Neos

If this first video doesn't pump you up I don't know what will

http://youtu.be/aB1fTKXsXD0

The next two are packed with information

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbx_O4eg-v8&feature=youtu.be

http://www.cryptoarticles.com/crypto-news/neoscoin-lots-of-functionality-with-a-unique-anonymity-system

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=186785
Here is the link to my trust settings here on forum. This trust system is very unfair. I make good on every deal Ive ever made. I had many, many deals as you can see and I never scammed anyone. All it takes is a random account to give you negative trust and youre screwed. Tomatocage has never even talked to me ever but when the random acct hit me with negative trust, Tomatocage came right behind him and marked neg trust again so obviously he was the one who did it. You can look at Tomatocage trust and see how many of his compeditors at the currency exchange thread he labeled scammers. I never scammed anyone. My trust was green over 20 before this. I hope it never happens to you because the mods cant help you.

Good coins are still there. But scam IPOs started a tremendous positive feedback loop. Scammers make an IPO > Make lots of BTC > Use that BTC to promote/shill the next scam > repeat. Every cycle nets them more resources to use, thus increasing the amount of BTC they can scam. It is...a sad state of affairs. Innocent (well, less-guilty) people trying to make quick profits add their voice to the hype. In fact, right here, in this very thread, you can already see hyping. So you're not going to hear about good coins.

Yep, IPO in itself is no problem, especially when the development team is not anonymous but show their faces, make clear how the collected funds will be administered and used and generally behave in open and responsible manner. And as you say, hype of hypecoins cannot be blamed on developers only, who can be naive and get let the hypers hype and get carried away with the hype (mazacoin hype comes to mind...). The hype of hyping has a name: day trading. And day traders... can't live with them, can't live without them. And that's why you're not going to hear about good coins which do their best to resist hype and getting hyped and serving just day traders etc speculators, but aim to serve actual users of a coin in everyday life. Not going to hear except this time: FIMK is an example of good coin. Probably not the only one, but the one I know best.

Lol, way to take all the credit

I have noticed a fairly large decline in the amount of scamcoins being released lately so your statement isn't totally inaccurate.
