I stopped using them due to the way in which they charge fees. They ask a very high fee and then return part of it after the transfer. Not sure why this is done in this way, makes no sense. Result is that there will always be some dust remaining in the account which you will never be able to move out.

I see Xapo updated their Android app.

There is a set fee of 0.001 btc per tx, ten times higher than the standard. Still have a balance of 0.0011 btc in my wallet there which essentially means I cannot transfer that out to another wallet.

Under the decription on their Google Play page they mention that :

'...to instantly send money anywhere in the world with zero transaction fees'

and

'Xapo Vault: The only fully insured bitcoin storage solution on the market'

Both of which is clearly not true as they charge a very high tx fee and because others like Circle also offer insurance. Only difference is that with Circle both the tx's and insurance are FREE and without any fuss, with Xapo you must move your coins to the vault and you get charged a percentage while its there so the insurance is not for free either.

I expected big things from this company but seems like they are not going to live up to it, not even close. Their app is still not stable, many are complaining about it crashing, personally also experienced this, and their issues around the debit cards are still not resolved.

Whenever this need aligns with the need for an actual good or service, this debit card would come in handy, even with the fees.

Their fee structure makes no sense at all although I do think a btc debit card is a really valuable service

Why? Your bank can provide you with a card, right?
