This is a huge problem for this particular company. The are dependent on their funding projects to help raise the value of their token.  Put on top of that another layer of complexity ( when was the last time someone you explained Bitcoin understood it)  using counterparty and you have a perfect shit storm disaster!

Swarm is utterly brilliant. The model they described on their site ( a multisig wallet, where crowdfunding backers, holders of campaign's tokens, manage the funds controlling the management) can well succed, and it's a good inmplementation of the DAO concept.
