Wow that little bit of advertising woke someone up, great volume today!
What does everyone think of a hosted node? It's it needed? I like the idea and will donate a few shares, but if no one else agrees, I'll hold off

Well it sounds like a good thing to me, a node supporting the chain has to be positive. Any idea what the upkeep would be? If it's reasonable i'd be happy to back it

Then there are rules set up for if you go over in share donations, pretty sure it's buy 2 years get the third free. Assuming they are still up and running

Close the client, go to C:\Users\(Your Username)\AppData\Roaming\Whitecoin and delete everything in the folder except for wallet.dat - do not delete wallet.dat under any circumstances (and empty your Recycle Bin), then restart the client. Somehow your block index file became corrupted. You can also start with the bootstrap file from this point. Please let me know if this works. Double check to always make a copy of your wallet.dat as backup. Thanks for pointing me to the OP images error I will look into that Oizo

I tried to fix them, but it seems that the [img] tags are not working anymore in the openings post. I have contacted theymos from bitcointalk, hopefully he can fix this.

seems a bit more of a problem with the images in the openings post. BCT changed the policy for using images. every member starting a new post with images needs to have a activity of 30 in order to display images, That's why the images won't display anymore.

I have fired up my local wallet, and it just synced past 482979 without any problems at all. I will try a clean download of the block chain this night. Also check below for the link with additional peers to speed up the syncing. I have 4 connections and I'm stuck as well but @ 360751. Can we get some help with syncing? I created a .bat in my wallet folder and although it launches the wallet I'm not sure the -dbcache is working. win7 64 wallet 1122 thanks, john -dbcache=1000 is working, just fire the client up with a bat file like this Whitecoin-Qt.exe -dbcache=1000 Also for a list of working nodes to speed up the synching process check out my page at: http://www.richlist.eu/whitecoin/peersJust add "addnode=" in front. Also you can download the latest bootstrap from this location: http://explorer.whitecoin.info/bootstrap/ to speed things even more up. Please see the openingspost for how this works. Let me know if it works. Best regards, Oizo
