1.  Zoidberg is REALLY good with cryptonote code.  Probably too good if you know what I mean.

2.  Monero has early starter advantage.

3.  During consolidation they could get rid of the pr clown for bbr.

4.  Monero has whales bbr would benefit from.  Bbr has smart people Monero would benefit from.

5.  The BIGGEST reason I would not have to worry about buying TWO DIFFERENT COINS now that the bcx scare is over.

6.  More hash, together we squash darkcoin, etc

It would be likely be a win for both.
How could it happen?

Lock the XMR devs and CZ in the tower of Risto's castle with a lot of whiskey, cigars, and laptops. Don't let them out until they figure out a fair way to combine forces and work together effectively. (Bar the windows so no one escapes or is thrown out of the tower.)  Wink

It would be nice to have some pools merge mining these.
That would be a way to benefit both (it would benefit BBR more than XMR, but both come out ahead).
Could be an early step anyway.

BBR has slightly different POW and internal algorithmic philosophies that make it an important unique CN coin, if you want to join Monero with other coin, BBR is not it.
This is what robinwilliams might have been getting at with the too good comment in OP?

Sadly it would be a massive win but it will never (or at least only has a 3% chance of happening) i'll explain why.

1 - monero whales would have to take a economic chill pill.  since we would need to combine total monero coins (since they are released much faster) down to the scale bbr is releasing them.  I think it would be about a 2/1 trade.  so people would lose half their moneros.

2 - bbr people would have to do the same.  since their coin is worth about 1/5 or 1/10th that is ALL of the new coin they would get (although their net worth probably wouldn't go down any like moneros would)

3 - SOMEBODY would have to be in charge of development since zoidberg sees things quite a lot differently than the monero team does.  this would have to be SOLVED once and forall out of the gate.  basically probably instead of being in charge of his own coin zoidberg would be one voice in seven or eight and would have to accept it.

4 - bbr hodlers would have to accept the name monero.  it's just come too far toward name recognition in making it to the top 10 market cap a few times.
------------------

this would double the market cap of both coins combined overnight and surge us past darkcoin and bring CN closer to the visibility of the crypto masses.  sadly pride will keep it from happening.

it has been brought up several times that zoidberg is likely part of the orgiinal bytecoin scam by different people.  now I DON"T CARE I own boolberries (picking up some moneros today) and even if he was part of that scam he left it and theres not a scam here so it's actually a net plus for me at least.

but "almost too good to be true at development on new software" might be more clear?

I support the idea, in most any form.  It is the path from here to there that is hard.
The "plays well with others" issue is something we start at around the beginning of school, and never finish learning so long as we continue meeting new "others".
It is worthy of discussion, but the only discussion that really would matter in the end is between the developers themselves.

well if you support the idea - you are a legitimate voice that will be listened to.  i am not - so I will lock this thread.  pls re-open and give it some legitimace if you think the idea has merit Smiley
